Portcullis Surgery

A BBC article has been released explaining how one of our practices has fought the Coronavirus and appears to have won!

Dr Catherine Beanland at Portcullis Surgery has explained that since the pandemic began there have only been 2 Covid-19 related deaths although the forecast was 200 due to an elderly population, and out of 8000 people tested, only 13 were positive.

Dr Beanland puts this down to a combination of volunteers who shielded the elderly and allowed them to stay in isolation and the complete shut down of care homes and the local community hospital where no one was allowed home unless they tested negative.

Well done to everyone at Portcullis Surgery and to all the volunteers and care staff who have made such a positive impact on their community during this time.
